In 2015 at the Tokyo Auto Salon was unveiled this gorgeous Lamborghini Miura replica based on a Mazda MX-5. Yes, You’ve read right, a Mazda Miata inside! The Roadster Garage based in Aichi (Japan) used the frame from the ultra reliable roadster to build this replica with this faithful bodywork made of fiberglass. If the look is incredibly close to the real car we can’t say the same thing about the mechanical part, in fact the car has a front mounted (and swapped) V8 and a fake FRP molded V12 engine in the back. The final result is stunning and the overall effect is breathtaking. At the moment this car seems to be a one-off but it has a regular japanese homologation and registration. It deserves to be published for the great job done and the fact that replicas of the Miura are very rare, almost like the original car. Nel 2015 al Salone dell’Auto di Tokyo è stata presentata questa splendida replica della Lamborghini Miura basata su una Mazda MX-5. Sì, avete letto bene, c’è sotto una Mazda Miata! Il Roadster Garage con sede ad Aichi (in Giappone) ha utilizzato il telaio della ultra affidabile roadster per costruire questa replica con questa fedele carrozzeria in vetroresina. Se l’aspetto è incredibilmente vicino alla macchina vera, non possiamo dire la stessa cosa della parte meccanica, infatti l’auto ha un V8 (scambiato col 4 cilindri) montato anteriormente e un finto motore V12 modellato in FRP nella parte posteriore. Il risultato finale è sorprendente e l’effetto complessivo è mozzafiato. Al momento questa vettura sembra essere una “one-off” ma ha omologazione e immatricolazione giapponesi regolari. Merita di essere pubblicata per l’ottimo lavoro svolto e per il fatto che le repliche della Miura sono molto rare, quasi come l’auto originale.
